WINNERS ANNOUNCED AT AXE’S ‘BRING THE QUIET’ ALBUM LAUNCH PARTY

Up and coming musicians from different countries in the GCC, had the opportunity to have their tracks featured on an exclusive vinyl as part of AXE’s ‘Bring the Quiet’ campaign.
Ten winners were announced at the launch party in Dubai, six of which are from the UAE: Josh Monteath (UAE), Parallel Sound System (UAE), Arcade 82 (UAE), Sla Bra (UAE), Oath (UAE), Fuente (UAE), The Relocators (Bahrain), Mo Zowayed (Bahrain), Mr. Fari (Kuwait), and Pure Analog (Qatar).
The winners were selected by public votes and a judging panel consisting of Paul Kelly, co-founder of music site TripleW, and Satyen Choksi, founder and managing partner of OHM Records & OHM Events.
The event hosted Lebanese rock-group The Wanton Bishops as the main performance of the night. In addition, the campaign winners were invited to perform 30-minute sets at the launch party
For AXE’s ‘Bring the Quiet’ campaign, the brand collaborated with some of the biggest acoustic names in the region – such as The Wanton Bishops, Hamdan Al Abri and El Morabba3; as well as some of the Middle East’s most-respected DJs – such as Mr. Mr., maDJam, Marko Smokingroove, Shadi Megallaa and Raxon. These musicians mentored the new and upcoming talents to help work on their tracks.
Aimed to help develop the music scene in the region, the campaign was opened to musicians – individuals or bands – and across all genres, who are based in the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman. The 10 winners of the campaign will have one of their tracks be featured on the limited-edition vinyl Bring the Quiet Album and win an exclusive two-day workshop with international producer, Youth.
