For women today, beauty transcends simplistic definitions: it is not just about looking good and feeling good but also about doing good and living well. From a large-scale survey conducted across the world, L’Occitane found out that modern women look beyond clinically-tested results to the quality and origin of the ingredients, as well as long-term effects of these on their faces. In short, today’s women seek harmony – not just between what they feel on the inside and see in the mirror but also in the world at large.

With the Harmonie Divine collection, L’Occitane En Provence pays homage to beauty inspired by observing nature’s very own everlasting examples, the anti-ageing collection brings together two ingredients with truly astonishing talents: red algae with the ability to eternally restore and a flower that never fades. Harvested from the sun-kissed Corsican earth and the clear waters of the coast of Calvi respectively, the wild Immortelle Millésimée flower and Jania Rubens micro-algae are the best examples of nature’s regenerative prowess.

Powered by the elements of earth and sea, the Immortelle Millésimée and the rare Jania Rubens bring together the extraordinary regenerative abilities of their extracts in two formulas. When combined, these two ingredients target the overall harmony of the face by acting not only on the classic signs of ageing, but also on facial volumes and contours.

The new collection focuses on enhancing harmony both inside and outside the body through two signature products – The Divine Harmony Cream and The Divine Harmony Serum.

For the Divine Harmony Serum, L’Occitane added to the power of active ingredients held by 5,000 micro-drops of Immortelle Millésimée by enriching it with Jania Rubens. They not only contain Immortelle Millésimée essential oil, but also Myrtle essential oil and Camelina, Evening Primrose and Borage oils. With each pump of the dispenser, the earth and sea collide: the micro-drops burst delicately, without leaving the slightest trace; the Jania Rubens and Immortelle fuse together and melt into the skin as the lightweight serum infuses the skin with powerful active ingredients. As the fingertips trace the contours of the face, the skin regains its youthful plumpness, smoothness and definition.

The Divine Harmony Cream transports us to Corsica – the Island of Beauty with its refreshing, uplifting scent of the clear Mediterranean waters, woven with notes of earth, Myrtle, Musk and Immortelle. The cream’s texture is as soft and fine as the skin. It melts – quite literally – into the skin, which rapidly absorbs its active ingredients. Upon contact, the Jania Rubens extract sinks into the skin, giving a feeling of comfort and hydration. Then the formula evolves and the cream transforms into a soft oil that allows the lipophilic active ingredients to penetrate the skin – particularly the Immortelle Millésimée and Myrtle essential oils, as well as Camelina, Evening Primrose and Borage oils. It helps to soften expression lines, re-balance facial volumes and boost radiance: the three pillars of facial harmony.

L’Occitane customers care about the environment, so as part of the comprehensive, holistic approach taken for this new range, it was key that L’Occitane should also take a sustainable approach focused on renewal, recycling and durability. This way of thinking, still so rare in the cosmetics industry, goes hand-in-hand with the vision of luxury embodied by Divine Harmony – a luxury that lasts over time. Both the serum and cream feature an eco-refillable compartment, subtly worked into the delicate shapes of the elegant packaging. The refills are easy to remove and replace, designed to have as few components as possible. The serum refills can be purchased individually for AED659 and the cream refills will be available in stores soon.

The Divine Harmony range can be purchased exclusively at selected L’Occitane stores in the UAE.
